There is a separate section of blogs written by people who live with dementia - as a carer I have found these invaluable because they have given me a different perspective, which I hope have helped me become more understanding and empathetic. You'll find these on a page called "People".
This is a list of people who write about dementia, either from the perspective of a current carer of a relative with dementia, or people who have cared for loved ones in the past.
My blog about caring for my mum who has dementia
Beth's blogs are based on her experiences of caring for her dad;
Bee looked after her mother and describes what life was like for her;
Rob writes about caring for his mum who had Pick's disease;
Kirsty cared for her nan who has dementia;
Duncan writes from the perspective of a son whose mother has dementia, describing it as "a journey through dementia";
Jon wrote about caring for his mum.
Sarah writes about older people and their place in society;
Pippa writes about dementia from the perspective of a daughter whose mum had dementia;
And Gill solicited blogs from a wide range of perspectives of dementia, and this just grew, and grew into an amazing resource. They are all well worth a read and I'd recommend sharing with family members and friends
